Ariana Grande headlining for the first time in Maryland.
Ariana Grande tore up the stage last night at her sold out show at the Fillmore in downtown Silver Spring. Accompanied by an amazing group of musicians, Grande performed her Yours Truly album from start to finish, performing hits such as “Baby I” and “The Way,” while performing new songs such as “Tattooed Heart” and “Lovin’ It.” Grande made sure to communicate with her audience, asking if they were ready to have some fun and explained the importance of a few of her songs.
The overnight pop sensation also certainly knew how to put on a show, from backup dancers performing intense choreographed moves to an impressive light show with LED light show for each song.
Opening for her was local DJ Osker, Osker was happy to show the concert attenders that “people can still rip it up with turntables.”
In the end, if there was any doubt about if her upcoming album would be a success, last night’s performance was answered with a loud YES from Grande’s fans. If you haven’t had a chance to see her perform, Ariana’s tour continues from now until September 3rd. Tickets are purchasable here.
